Healthy Organic Raw Chocolate Recipe, Sugar Free

Want something fast and easy to make for your special Valentine that’s also healthy? Here’s a simple raw chocolate recipe that only uses a few ingredients (that you can actually pronounce) and is full of healthy omega three fats, magnesium, iron, bioflavanols and polyphenols without the unhealthy trans fats or sugar!

Basic ingredients – keep in mind, the amounts are just a starting point for what I use – but you may want to alter to your own taste:
½ cup organic  raw cacao butter
½ cup organic virgin coconut oil
1/2 cup organic raw cacao powder
½ tsp Stevia
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp rock salt

Optional ingredients – these are just a few fun options to add to the basic recipe to make a variety of different chocolates:
cardamom
shredded coconut
almond extract
nuts
dried fruit
hot chili powder
ginger
cinnamon
peppermint

Directions:

Melt coconut oil and raw cacao butter in heat proof bowl or measuring glass in double boiler. Do not allow water in pan to come to a boil – just heat enough to melt fats.

Once fats are melted, add dry ingredients and stir to mix well.

Pour into silicone ice cube trayssilicon molds to make different shape chocolates, or even a thin layer of chocolate on a dinner plate.

Put in refrigerator to harden.

Enjoy in moderation!
